Resveratrol in Red Grapes is Cancer fighting.

My husband, Sean Greene and I have been studying nutrition off and on for a while now. I have recently had the privilege of having organic grapes at our small grocery store two streets from our Manhattan apartment. The skins of red grapes contain resveratrol. Resveratrol is a phytoalexin, a compound produced by several plants to fight off pathogens, such as bacteria and fungi. Resveratrol has been shown to have anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, life extending, performance enhancing and neuro-protective activity. Many other antioxidants work against cancer, but this one works against all stages of the disease. I can't get enough of the grapes, this season they have been so good, right from CA. This a great snack for everyday. I suggest putting them in chicken salad as well.
